Stuff the Bus

Union Bank has partnered with Heart of West Michigan United Way to help students and teachers start the upcoming school year off strong.

United Way and its' nonprofit partners work to improve all aspects of a student’s life, from advocating for quality education to promoting family stability at home. As part of these efforts and their mission to reduce poverty in West Michigan, they coordinate an annual community-wide school supply drive called Stuff the Bus.

A good, quality education is crucial to our students’ success in school and later in life. However, purchasing school supplies each year can be a financial burden for local families and teachers, especially as they struggle with inflation and increased costs of living. They need our help.

When a child starts school with a backpack full of supplies, they can focus less on what they need and more on what really matters—learning. With your help, we can ensure students not only have the necessary tools in the classroom, but also the confidence to thrive in the future.

Here's how you can help! Review the Supply Shopping List, shop and drop your supplies at any Union Bank location before August 4th. If after August 4th, please deliver supplies to Union Bank's Grand Rapids Office - 670 Cascade W Parkway SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546.
